The Brief


KSG is a specialist restaurant and food services company and their mission is to deliver excellence in food and service to enhance the daily culinary experiences of their customers. They are a dynamic, flexible and vibrant organisation and they deliver restaurant, café and hospitality services in 120 locations in Ireland. They serve 13 million meals per year and they employ 1,350 skilled people across their business. Through working with brands like Microsoft, United Drug, KPMG, Accenture, and organisations like UCC, The Mater Private and UCD, KSG wanted to develop an online presence to match their status in the food and hospitality industry.


With this in mind, KSG approached ZOMA to design and develop a new industry leading platform that was both modern and vibrant. This project was not only about lead generation but also about creating something unique for KSG to stand out from their competitors and to show the scale of their operations. KSG also have several sub- brands that they wanted to develop both online and offline, including, SoMa at the Spire, Ramen Hood, Dirty Broccoli, Eat @ UCC, Marquette and many more.



Our Approach


Our main goal for KSG’s website was to showcase their amazing content in a vibrant and innovative style. In working alongside KSG’s business development manager we incorporated full width video banners, cutting edge parallax animations, grid style systems and a dark colour palette with contrasting whites to bring this brand into the new age.


Our next challenge was to develop the sub brands of KSG. With the brand SoMa, from a design perspective we felt that minimalism was key in engaging with the high- end market and therefore we incorporated this into the logo design, brand identity, menu design and interior design of this trendy burger and breakfast joint. With social media being a key driver for success in this market we developed a social media strategy that involved creating beautiful and engaging content and delivering this to their target market. We also used event marketing for showcasing the brand with pop up stalls at events like Taste of Dublin and Electric Picnic.
